Paperwork

Shortly after completing the IMPACT Training course we were emailed some forms to fill out. They also sent us to get our background checks and finger prints done. Not too long after that we received a very large packet full of paperwork to fill out. The picture below is a list of everything they are requiring of us now.

The Family Profile and Marriage Parent Questionnaire have taken a decent amount of time answering. They ask questions about our childhood, how we were raised, and how we plan to raise our future children. More questions include history of trauma, mental health, therapy, etc...

We made appointments with our physician to get our physicals performed, labs drawn, and drug screenings completed. Our precious fur babies are getting their appointments done next week to make sure they are up to date with all their vaccines.

Unfortunately, "Septic" bill or letter of inspection is on the list. We already knew we were having a problem with our drain field but now it will be documented. I'm a little afraid of what they will say. A new drain field is upwards of ten thousand to replace. I know it needs to be done and we do plan to do it. My fear is just having to wait even longer to begin getting matched with children.

Oh, and I am having difficulty finding Kyle's birth certificate. Ugh... I'm sure he will find it tonight. He had to send it off to get his passport renewed earlier this year.

Overall, this process has been fairly stressful. Every time we think we are close to being approved they tell us we need to do something else. We haven't even had our first Home Study visit yet. They also haven't responded to our inquiries we've made on those children from my last post.

While this journey has been stressful, I know it will be worth it in the end. We are trying to remain patient and take this one day at a time. Please keep us in your prayers. We both has so much going on in addition to this adoption process and could really use prayers and support.

Thank you!
