Awaiting State Approval
I just got off the phone with our case worker about our home study. She had three final questions before she mails our study to the State.
(1) She needed to lock down our highest number of children we will accept: 4
(2) She needed to make sure what race we are willing to accept: Any
(3) She needed to verify our age range and wanted a number put to it: Up to 1 teenager and the rest younger.
With that done, she is mailing in our home study. She said we are "Approved" as far as All God's Children are concerned. So, we will already be listed and the case workers for the children in the state will have access to our information. They will contact her for the matching process. Once we get the approval from the state we can actually move forward with placement. The approval from the state can take a few weeks.
Also, the case worker said that we will get matched very quickly being that we will take up to 4 children, up to the age of 15, and of any race. This is just the best news.
Please pray for the state to see no red flags, review our home study quickly, and approve us soon. We are so ready to have a house full of children. Looking forward to having our forever family and making play dates with all of our nieces, nephews, and friends children.
