We've been approved!

Kyle & I found out yesterday that we have been officially approved at the state level to adopt children! We are excited about the approval and knowing that we can move forward in looking at sibling groups. They've already begun matching us with sibling groups and are just waiting on the case workers to send us their profiles.

One case worker wants to wait until school gets out before moving forward, which is frustrating. Knowing that we have to look at profiles and then basically court the children means they wouldn't be moving in to our home before school gets out anyway. We have time to do all that without having to wait until school is out. So, more waiting on our part at least for that particular sibling group.

We still don't know anything about any of the sibling groups. We haven't gotten any profiles yet. They are matching us in the background and keep telling us they'll give us the profiles "soon". Patience is definitely a requirement when adopting through the state.

Our additional training, Therapeutic Behavior Management, is scheduled in March. It is a six hour training course.

Anyway, thank you all for your prayers. This process has been a long one. It is good to finally be approved and able to move forward.
